The Phenix solar panel and most satellite dishes are susceptible to high winds and must not be left in the up position in windy conditions.
This anenometer mounts on the vehicle’s roof and monitors the wind speed. If it detects wind-speed in excess of what is safe, it automatically puts the solar panel or satellite dish to the park position, eliminating the possibility of expensive damage. It measures 140mm in diameter x 110mm high.
